New PubMed Relevance Sort

scales_of_justicePubMed now includes a relevance sort feature. The option to sort search results by relevance is available within the “Display Settings” menu under the “Sort by” selections. The relevance sort algorithm analyzes each citation in PubMed that includes the search terms used. Each result within a search query is given a calculated weight. Higher weighted or ranked results are determined by the number of search terms found in a citation, which search fields the terms are found in, as well as how recent the date of publication. Read more about this new search feature in the NLM Technical Bulletin.
