Perri Klass, MD, Second Impact: Making the Hardest Call of All

klassWe welcome back award winning author and former BCH resident Perri Klass, MD to discuss her new book, Second Impact, written in collaboration with her brother, David, a screenwriter and writer for young adults. Dr. Klass has written numerous books and in addition to her writing pursuits, is Professor of Journalism and Pediatrics at New York University and the National Medical Director of the Reach Out and Read Program.

This new book examines a topic very much in the news these days…concussions in young athletes. Told in a back and forth blog-style format between the star football player and a local newspaper journalist, the book leaves readers asking important questions about the physical and emotional impact of high school/college sports.

There will be a drawing for two copies of the book for all who are pre-registered! Dr. Klass will be available to sign books if you bring a copy.
