Almost Anorexic: Is My (or My Loved One’s) Relationship with Food a Problem?
Jennifer Thomas, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School and Co-Director of the Eating Disorders Clinical and Research Program at MGH.
Her presentation will focus on her research on eating disorders with an emphasis on those individuals who struggle with disordered eating who don’t fully meet the diagnostic criteria for anorexia. She will cover topics discussed in the book including how to determine if a loved one’s relationship with food is a problem; how to intervene; what scientifically proven strategies can change unhealthy eating patterns and when/how to get professional help.
