New online registry of biomedical informatics tools

The National Library of Medicine has teamed up with the Department of Veterans Affairs of Research and Development and the American Medical Informatics Association’s Natural Language Processing Working Group to launch the Online Registry of Biomedical Informatics  Tools Project (ORBIT).  It’s an online catalog designed to facilitate easier location of available software tools and resources built to turn medical data into valuable information.

You can use ORBIT to contribute information about resources, add comments or questions, and rate resources. It’s easy to search by a range of fields, including  institution, resource type, programming language, and more.

Learn more about all ORBIT has to offer here.
