Meet William Paul Meehan, III, MD, author of Kids, Sports and Concussion: A Guide for Coaches and Parents

With the start of fall, kids are back at school and participating in sports. While sports such as football, hockey and soccer give kids the opportunity to be active and participate on a team, research now helps physicians, parents, coaches and others better understand the consequences of concussions in kids.

Dr. Meehan, who is the director of the Sport Concussion Clinic, will discuss the ways to keep kids safe, testing and what to do if a kid does experience a concussion.

This Library Lunch Topic Discussion will take place on Wednesday, September 7th, 2011 from noon to 1pm in the Gamble Room of the Library.

To register email:  alison.clapp@childrens.harvard.edu or call X57232. You must pre-register to be eligible to “win” a copy of the book.

Cosponsored by the Office of Faculty Development, the Office of Fellowship Training and the library.
