Open Biology: A New Journal from the Royal Society

The Royal Society, the UK’s national academy of science, announced on Friday that they are launching Open Biology.  Open Biology is a new online, peer-reviewed, open access journal that will feature articles about cell biology, developmental and structural biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, immunology, microbiology and genetics. 

The Call for Papers will go out in July and the first issue is expected to be published in Fall 2011.  The journal will be funded by article-processing charges ($2040 per article).
