On Tuesday, May 17th from 4:30 – 5:30pm in the Gamble Room the Library will present a panel of members of the Children’s Hospital community who traveled to Haiti to provide medical services and support since last year’s deadly earthquake. They will offer thoughts on Danticat’s book, Brother, I’m Dying, and on their experiences in Haiti. The panel includes:
- Dennis Rosen, MD, pediatric pulmonologist and sleep specialist in the Department of Medicine, who volunteered at the General Hospital in Port au Prince with Partners in Health in May 2010 and at Bernard Mevs Hospital in Port au Prince with Project Medishare in November 2010.
- Stella Harrington, RN, BSN, CNOR, nurse in the OR, who travelled to Haiti with Partners in Health.
- Nancy Joseph, MSN, RN, FNP-C, nurse in the Children’s Hospital Primary Care Center, who travelled to Haiti with Project Medishare.
