A researcher in the Infectious Diseases Dept. pointed out that full-disclosure of the purpose of research still can be an issue.  Indian Tribe Wins Fight to Limit Research of Its DNA by Amy Harmon was published in the New York Times on April 21, 2010. An earlier account appeared in The Phoenix Magazine in November 2008, Arizona’s Broken Arrow by Jana Bommersbach.  Unlike the Lacks family, the Havasupai tribe had their blood samples returned and received monetary damages.
